Recipe: Marble Guglhupf

The smell of freshly baked Guglhupf is one of the most irresistible scents there is. That's why we're providing you with our Guglhupf recipe here. In a slightly modified form, as the recipe for our original Landtmann Guglhupf contains a few small and subtle secrets.

Ingredients
240 g butter
220 g powdered sugar
150 g egg yolk
10 g vanilla sugar
1/2 lemon peel
230 g protein
220 g of fine granulated sugar
10 g cocoa powder
30 g of water
270 g wheat flour 480 smooth
powder snow

preparation

  • Beat butter, icing sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon zest until fluffy
  • Gradually stir in egg yolks
  • Then beat the egg whites with fine granulated sugar until fluffy
  • Fold the flour into the butter mixture and fold in the beaten egg whites
  • Mix cocoa powder with water until smooth and color one third of the mixture
  • Pour half of the white mixture into a greased and floured Bundt cake pan
  • Add the brown mixture and finish with the white mixture

Bake at 170 degrees for 45 minutes, turn out of the tin and sprinkle the cooled Bundt cake with powdered snow.
